He who thinks love can last forever
Is he who will not understand history

While talking to my parents, saying how I look upon the world, expressing my fears for the seemingly chaotic future we are all about to end up in, they look at me with a certain expression. As if they were to look when listening to modern, sad Jazz. Serious, but still entertained by the ‘worried’ words I speak. I hope they don’t look up to me, for then I feel like I am the only one, telling others that our ‘system’ needs a radical change, if we want our children to grow up in a world with blue skies, dreams and most of all, hope.

Don’t you cry dear Mother Nature
For your tears have been felt
Don’t you cry dear life of all
For your voice comforts me

A girl I know was told she might have gotten cancer. After a week of waiting while being insecure, the doctors found out their report was wrong. It was some sort of an infection. During that week she must have seen her life flash by. Never will she be the same again…

It is the realization that I have done so little
to gain respect

Many saw the first, the second and the cold war
Iraq and Afghanistan are now being fought for
Now some seem to fight for the poor sometimes
But most of us deny to see those hidden lives
So when do we realize the fighting has to stop
When do we admit that we always f*** it up?

Youngsters, do you realize what we’ve put on your shoulders?
A burden greater than any president ever had to bare…

Ones we were warned for the military industrial complex.
Now I warn you for the digital isolation of the mind

Never have I met my grandparents
Though I did feel them every time
I spoke to my parents about life

The one trying to spread peace:
Jealousy in the eyes of hundreds of ashamed people
While looking at a concert of another world pop-star
They cheer, dance, get drunk and go home ones again
While the star wonders if they got the message this time

Save yourself, don’t hesitate
There’s no hurry, as long as you do
Save yourself, from all the hate
So they’ll underestimate you
