While talking to my parents, saying how I look upon the world, expressing my fears for the seemingly chaotic future we are all about to end up in, they look at me with a certain expression. As if they were to look when listening to modern, sad Jazz. Serious, but still entertained by the ‘worried’ words I speak. I hope they don’t look up to me, for then I feel like I am the only one, telling others that our ’system’ needs a radical change, if we want our children to grow up in a world with blue skies, dreams and most of all, hope.

A girl I know was told she might have gotten cancer. After a week of waiting while being insecure, the doctors found out their report was wrong. It was some sort of an infection. During that week she must have seen her life flash by. Never will she be the same again…

It’s not just shame, nor is it shyness
It is the realization that I have done so little

But most of us deny to see those hidden lives
So when do we realize the fighting has to stop

While the star wonders if they got the message this time
